- New members are welcome. Call 410-875-4072 for more information.
- We now have formed a 501(c)(3) corporation named Taylorsville-Winfield Lions Charities Inc. This new corporation means any contributions made are now 100% tax deductible.
- We are selling small "Beanie Bears" to raise funds for Diabetes Research. The cost of these bears is only $5.00 each. To purchase a bear call Lion Tom Harney on 410-875-9445
- Hospital Equipment to borrow for free. To borrow equipment: call Lion Bob Garber on 410-875-2630.
- Collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids. Drop off locations are the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home in Winfield, Green's Ace Hardware in Winfield, Golden Age Nursing Home on Buckhorn Rd, Sykesville Federal Savings Bank in Eldersburg and Martins Beauty Shop on Oklahoma Rd. Also Dr. Kurt Linkoff, DDS in Eldersburg, Dr. Pari Moazed, DDS in Westminster and Mount Gilead UMChurch in Reisterstown and Patapsco UMChurch in Finksburg.
- Own and maintain a Community Park.
- Provide 2 - one year scholarships to South Carroll High School Students.
- Provide eye exams and glasses to those who cannot afford them.
- Pay for all of the oxygen used by the Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department
- Provide Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas Dinner and Christmas Gifts for families in need as well as support to the local community.
- A collection bin for the Shephards Staff will be kept at our meeting hall. Donations go toward their blessings closet
- Books donated to libraries at Winfield Elementary School and South Carroll High School.
- Mitten tree at South Carroll High School - donations of mittens, hats and scarves for students of the community.
